We've been given now for a couple 3 weeks I guess, right now we have so far. We have gotten $1,310. So that's good. We got until next Sunday, December 11th. So if you haven't given yet, and the Lord leads you to give, you can do that. Just so you can put it in the envelope. If you don't want to put beautify new Grace, just put Painting cuz that's what we're going to do and that you also can go online and give as well. Just go to our website, go under cheerful giving, and you'll be able to either give to the general fund. That would be your ties or a building fun and also put a fun in their beautify new gray. So that's where you would give if you do it online but we appreciate those who have already given and of course our goal is $5,000. So we'll see what the Lord does here in the next couple of weeks. But it's good to see you. I'm glad that our gas for you today being here and we're so thankful that you are here. I hope the Lord will. Speak to your heart this morning as we study his word, I know he did mine this week. We've been talkin about a life. Well, spent lots of the series that we're all we've been talking about and sacrifice and sowing. And today we going to talk one more time about sewing and the title of this message today is God's law. Of the Harvest. So if you have your Bible, if you go ahead and you turn to 2nd Corinthians, if you would chapter 9, 2nd Corinthians chapter 9. And you be turning there. And we're going to read verses 6 through 15.

Can you hear me? Any better? Okay, you can go. And I don't want to be hitting this and all like that. So, but anyway, 2nd Corinthians chapter 9, Ian. And then, of course, in the New Testament, Indiana course, you have acts and Romans and then 1st Corinthians. Then 2nd Corinthians 2nd Corinthians chapter 9. And let me tell you about this gentleman. His name was RG Letourneau. This man was he designed and built heavy equipment like dump trucks and motor graders and things like that and he was a Christian man and he started his business right in the middle of the Great Depression. And while most people was losing money losing their life savings. The first year that he started his business, he made $45,000, which was an incredible amount back then. Now he was a Christian man, and he believed in giving and so what he decided to do is he decided that he would take that 45,000 and he would put it back into his business. Info for that year, he took the 45,000 put it back in his business and he said next year I could even double that maybe make over a hundred thousand he said then I could give a good gift to to the Lord and to the church. So the year he made 45,000, he didn't give anyting well, the next year he lost a hundred thousand. And he fell down on his knees and he asked, God, to forgive him, because he said, I have presumed on your grace. He says, I took What is rightfully yours and I promise if you do help me to get this business going, he said I will never withhold any offering from you again. And at that time, it was about that time that his entire life was different. And within 4 years, this man was making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and he absolutely reversed the tithe. He gave the church 90% And he gave 10% or he kept 10%. And hit just started, his business started growing and he financed Evangelical work. All over the United States and Europe. At one time, he had over 200. Patents of the quit of equipment that he designed is used all over the world. And shortly after before before he died. He said, the reason I did that he said I was searching inscription one day and he said, I learned of God's Harvest law. And here's the law, it's very simple. Whatsoever. A man sows that also shall he reap? That's the Law now you say. Yeah but that's farming. It is and it's true in agriculture. But it's true in our spiritual life is well, whatever. We so spiritually that is what we will reap. So that's the law that I want to share with you today. You say, well, as short whatsoever, a man sows that, shall he also reap? Well, it is short, but there's some other laws or principles that go along with that, but this is what mr. Letourneau said it's not how much money I give to God. That is important. It is how much of God's money I keep for myself, that's important. And he understood that because he understood God's law of the Harvest. Well, he found that out in this scripture that we're studying today. The Apostle Paul is riding to the Corinthian Church and he's thanking them for their generous spirit. And he goes on to give us the four principles that fall under this law. And then if we will live by those principles, he gives us six benefits of living by these principles. And that's what I want to share with you today. So let's look at 2nd Corinthians chapter 9, and let's begin reading in verse 6. He says but this I say he who sow sparingly will also reap sparingly and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity for God, loves a cheerful Giver will come back to that verse at the very end of the message. And God is able to make all grace abound towards you. That you always have an awesome fish in sea, and all things may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written. He has dispersed abroad, he had given to the poor, his righteousness and yours forever. Verse 10. Now, may he, this is speaking of God who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food supply and multiply the seed, you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness while you are in wrist and everything. For all liberality, which causes Thanksgiving through us to God for the administration of disservice, not only supplies the needs of the Saints but also is a bounding through many Thanksgiving. He's talking about their generous Spirit, he said, because of your giving it supplies the needs of the Saints verse 13. While through the proof of this ministry. They glorify God for the impedance of your confession, to the gospel of Christ, in for your liberal, sharing, with them, and all men, and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of exceeding grace of God in you. And then Paul don't know what else to say. In verse 15, all he can say, is thank be to God for his Indescribable gift. That is a that is talking about a church here with a very generous and giving spirit. Now what I want to do is I want to show you. First of all we know the law whatsoever. A man soweth that shall he? Also reap but I want to give you four principles that fall under that law that you have to understand. If you don't understand that, then you're giving won't be what it could be. So here's the first principle of God's Harvest law. You will not reap if you do not sow. You say well that that is not profound. Well just look at what Paul says here in verse 6. But this I say he who sow sparingly will also reap sparingly. In other words if you don't so you won't reap now. You may have a 2 acre field that you want to plant corn on. But if you go out there and look at that field you do you say that this dirt is just perfect as got the right, nitrogenous got everything that it needs. I bet this would be a good field for corn and I just can't wait to that corn comes up. When it's not going to come, my phone is on, you have to. So you have to sew something for it to come up, if one kernel of corn. Is in that one corn, kernel of corn is all the potential of a reproducing cycle. If I plan a colonel, it will reproduce itself and it will bring forth many kernels. In other words. You you plant used to have a stalk of corn that's about six feet tall. Do you only have one ear of corn on that know you have plenty you have 3 4 5 6 7 ears of corn it reproduces and it can be planted and then you'll have thousands of Colonel the cycle goes on and on. But if I take that Carla corn, enamored with it. And I'll look at it, you know, this is the first caramel corn I've ever had. I'm on frame it and put it on my wall where you can do that. But friends, you won't read anything. You will not repeat anything unless you. So something you have to invest that kernel of corn and many Christians today, need to learn The principle of sowing. Franz listen. As long as we hold onto things that God has given us refusing. To sew them back into the Harvest field. We will never have any more. now, you know you've heard me mention this sophistic, In most churches 40 to 70% of the people do not give a penny. I think about that, that's 40 to 70% of the people. That's not sewing. Anything. Let me ask you something. What are you going to reap nothing? You going to read nothing and you going to read nothing because you're not sewing anything. And the reason so, few wealthy people have found lasting happiness is because they haven't learn the principle of sewing. What God gives you back into the Harvest field. What does the world tell you to do with the money that you make and what you get it tells you to get all you can and can all you get it tells you to keep it. It tells you to withhold it and you keep it. And you can have a big, a lot of money, one day and you can retire and you can have all this. That's the world's way of accumulating money, but God's way of accumulating money is giving it back to God so that he can give you more to give. That's what it is. The exact opposite of the world. And Andrew Carnegie said millionaires who laughs are rare. And he is exactly. Right. So the first principle that's under this Harvest law is you will not reap if you do not. So Prince Will number two, It's simply this you will always reap the same kind as you so. You always read the same time. Not only do we get if we so but we're always going to get what we so it would do me no good to go out here and plant a field of corn and then wonder about three months later why I'm not getting any carrots out of this is because I didn't plant carrots. I planted corn. If you if you plant, if you have some tomato plant don't look for watermelons to come on, you can't do that. You will always reap what you sow, whatever I plant is, what I'm going to get. You say, well, that's easy to understand in the farming analogy, how about the spiritual analogy? What are you planning spiritually? Because whatever, you plant spiritually, that's what you going to reap. You say where does the bible say that? I'm glad you asked the lady is chapter 6. Verse 7 & 8. Galatians 6, 7 and 8 and I look at this. Do not be deceived, God.

For He Who sows to his flesh. We love the flash brief corruption, but he who sows to the spirit? Holy Spirit Will of the spirit. Everlasting locked. There's your principal right there. You will reap the same kind as you. So friends, let me say this if your life, if you have sold nothing but anger and Discord in your life, your life will be filled with trouble. If you so anger and resentment, and you have a hard callus heart, here's what you going to have in your life unloving, relationships, your relationship. They going to be broken, you're always get mad at someone, someone get mad at you, you mended, you break it again. That's what it is because you sewn, anger and bitterness and deceit. That's what you going to reap. But if you so goodness and encouragement and peace and love and happiness, what are you going to reap? That's what you're going to reap. If you sold to the spirit, you will reap of the spirit. If you sold to the flash, you will reap corruption. You listen, you will not reap. If you do not sow and you will always reap the same kind that you. So. if your life is full of trouble and heartache, it may be that you have sown that, you know, the Book of Proverbs says If you want to have a friend, you have to show yourself to be friendly. Friends, if you want a friend, you have to be a friend. Many times. You have to be a friend before you can have a friend. So if you sold to the spirit you will reap life Everlasting. Don't you like to be around people who are kind of Joyful in it hard to be around negative people and it's always bringing you down and saying this and saying that and just pessimistic and all of that. But when you with someone who has joy in their life and their encouraging, it just kind of souls joy in your life positive people, it seems like your outlook will be brighter. I think maybe there's the reason they're so much ingratitude in the world is because that people just don't don't appreciate the things they have and they're not thankful for the friends when you. So let me say it is, there is no surprises in God's economy. You will get what you sow, always, you will get what you sow. Therefore we out the soul things to the lower because we want to get good thing. So what's it? What's the principal whatsoever? A man soweth that? Shall he also reap, That's the Law. What's the principles? You, if you will not rape, if you do not smoke and you always read the same kind that you spoke principle number 3,

You will always reap more than you sow. Now, you know, that if you have a garden or field, You have one more you have more than one tomato on a tomato plant. You have one you have more than one ear of corn on a corn stalk. You see that's a principle that is true in agriculture but it's true in the spiritual life as well. God has always arranged for things to grow and develop look what it says in verse six. This I say who who he who sow sparingly will also reap sparingly. But why says he who sews bountifully will also reap bountifully? So friends. Listen, you always reap more than you sow. If you planted one kernel of corn and six months later, you only got one ear of corn. Wet wouldn't be worth reproducing. That there's no future in that, but the Bible is clear that sewing leads to increased. If we so bountifully, we will reap bountifully. If the first principle says I get if I sold the second principle says, I get what I suppose then. The third principal says, I get more than I. So look at verse 10.

Anime, he God who supplies seed to the store and bread for the food supply. And add the seed you have songs. I want that says add to see. That what God does he adds? That does it say add my Bible doesn't say add. My Bible says bread for food supply and multiply the seed God. Not, he's the god of the multiplication table the multiplies. If we just added four and four, we get 8. But if we say 4 x 4, we get what? We get 16th. That's the type of God we serve, when you, when you reach, when you saw, you going to read more than you. So, and so we will always get more and Paul wanted them to recognize the fact that we when we invest with God, God knows how to return. Abundantly. Look how he says it in verse 8, God is able to make what all grace abound towards you. That you always having all sufficiently. In other words, you have everything you need and what things in all things you may have an abundance for every good work friends lesson. When you give to God, he showers you down with so many blessings. You can't even tell him if you want. If you want to give and you want God to bless that giving then you give with the right motive and you give all you can and what is he promised and Malachi 3, King of the Hill, open the windows of heaven and suffocates you blessings. It's what he says. That's the way to get more is to give more. And so what is the prints? You will not rape if you don't. So you will always write the same kind that you. So you will always reap more than you sow. In friends that in the spiritual life, if you sold to the Lord joy and peace and encouragement, he will multiply that in your life, but it's the same way to the flesh. If you sow Discord If you got here and get drunk and you get in your car and you kill somebody, look how me look at the families that you destroyed. And the people, you always reap more than you sow always, because our actions affect other people number for And this is the last principle. You always reap later than you sow. And that right in the agriculture world. You plant a field of corn in April, You don't go out there the next week and harvest that corn. You don't do that. That's always in the fall. You're not going to say after one day. Why don't you see, any green, grass or anything coming up? I'm just going to file this filled up. It's no good at all. Know, you always reap later. Good things always take a while and one of, that's one of the lessons of the Harvest yet. I've seen many Christian people make promises to God, if you'll get me out of this, if you will do this, I promise. I'll start giving you. And then God get some out and everything starts going well and all of a sudden what they do, they just forget God, they just forget what they said, their promise that they may and if their financial problems don't disappear, then they think will God is not going to bless me. No one expects the so one day and reap the next. Look at what Galatians 6:9 says. We looked at verses 7 & 8. Look at 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good. Don't grow weary while sewing good for in due season, we shall reap. If we do not lose heart. Sometimes when you get in the ministry and you do good things and you can't see anything happening. We think ourselves, why must be doing something wrong? This is maybe my heart's not right? Something something is wrong. Nothing is wrong. The Harvest is always later than the planning always. And he says, here, don't grow weary in doing good. Because in due season, come for you going to reap you going to reap. So we always reap later than we slow and don't think that he's forgotten your work. Don't think that he's forgotten your sacrifice. Don't think he's forgotten. You're giving the Lord remembers because he has the ability to keep the laws of the Harvest operating. That's not a question whatsoever. So you say, well, if I live my life, like this, if I sold to the spirit and if I give a nice low and I'm going to reap the good that I sold, it may come later but eventually I'm going to reap it. What are the benefits of living my life? Like this. Let me give you six very quickly and we're going to close. So if we follow these principles eventually we're going to proceed ever going to see what they produce. And number one is this, if you give with the right motive, You will prosper, spiritually and financially. God has promised to do that. He says that in verse 10 now, may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food supply? And multiply the seed you have phone as we give to the Lord. He interns he in turn multiplies. What we have? You don't add to it. He multiplied. And God is able to make sure that you're going to have enough. What is he saying? Malachi 3:10. Try me test me. Prove me on this. You give you're tired and you see if I don't open up the windows of heaven and bless you like, you've never been blessed. He said you just try me on that. And what he was talking about was spiritually and also by naturally, so we will prosper spiritually and financially number two. When we give we prove our love for God, we prove our are giving demonstrates our devotion to him. Look how it says in verse 13. While through the proof of this Ministries, told my giving. Fagor fi God for the obedient of your confession to the gospel of Christ and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, our offerings. To the Lord is a tangible. I guess, you could say evidence of the reality of our faith. That's what giving is is easy to claim. We love God, but when we give to him sacrificially, when we give to him, when money is tight, we prove our love for God. It's just hard for me to comprehend how a man can say, I love God, but yet he'll never use any of his finances to support. Any of the ministry. Work of God. It's just hard for me to believe a man love God and I don't know if that man believes, he love God himself, anybody who would say that, but yet withhold from God. And so, we prove our love for God when we give number 3 or 6, we provide when we give, we provide for those in need. Look at verse 12. For the administration of this service, not only supplies the needs of the Saints but also is a bounding through many thanksgivings to God. It says this service of giving Supply the needs of the Saints. You know many churches have a benevolent fund or something like that to support people in financial hardship. But you know, a lot of people need more than just physical help. A lot of people need spiritual help. A lot of people need counseling. A lot of people like us here today. We like to come here today on Sunday morning and we would like to meet in this building and we like to study God's word and we like to pray and worship and fellowship. This is what we do but it takes giving from all of us so that we can meet not just so we can have lights and water. That's not the reason we meet we meet and we give to enable the Lord's work to continue to flow out of this church. That's why we meet and it takes money. Of course, to do that as you still try to continue to provide for the needs of this community. So when we give, we provide for those in need letter d. And this is important. One of the products of giving to God is that we provoked Thanksgiving to the Lord whenever someone gives he starts a chain reaction of Thanksgiving. Now, look at verse 11, how it says it for, you are in Rich and everything for all liberality which causes W. Thanksgiving through us to God. Right now, look at verse 12 for the administration. Disservice not only Supply, the needs of the Saints but also is a bounding through many W, Thanksgiving to God. And then Paul just goes crazy, a 50. Thanks be to God for his Indescribable gift. It's all thanks to you. I think about this. You put your money in the offering plate. It goes to the church Treasury. Money is sent to the RBA Raleigh Baptist Association or the Southern Baptist convention, and they take that money and they use it safe from a certain percentage will go to missions and one day and envelope arrives with a support check. That says we you know, we love you and we want to support you in the field. The people at church thank God that they were able to sponsor someone in the field that they can keep their commitment. The people at the mission agency. Thanks God because we got some money now we can support our missionaries, the missionaries, thank God, thank you for this money now we can go out and spread the gospel to the people. That's never heard it and weakened the souls to whom that they lead to the Lord. All of a sudden thank the Lord for those missionaries who brought them the gospel and they think that mission agency and all the sudden it comes. Full circle comes all the way back. To the church. Just a is a chain reaction of Thanksgiving. Is what it is. And we thank God for allowing us to be part of his ministry plan. All right, then number letter, e and number 5. When we give a benefit of following, these principles of the law of the Harvest, is we promote prayer. Look what it says, in verse 14, and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding, grace of God. And you missionary received the money, he drops. His head begins praying to the Lord. He doesn't just say thanks, but he remembers to pray for the work of the sponsoring church too, many friends, who have supported him, everyone else in the process starts praying, so the dynamic of God's Harvest law. Just keep growing and friends. Only eternity will show the far-reaching impact that we have when we have given money to just something subtle, like the North American Mission board or the egg. National Mission board. Only heaven knows how that money will be used and how it we will be. So thankful and prayerful for what God did through our giving. Just like when we gave money to the tornado victims up in Kentucky. There's somebody saint. New Grace Church for that. We don't know it, we didn't hear it. But somebody think dust for that, we promote prayer when we give and then last night

We purchase more opportunity. Takeya. You say, what do you mean by that? Well, let me just say this. I don't know all the reasons. Why God. Blesses, those who give but I do know one. If you give, he will bless you. So that you can give again. and that's what I was told me earlier, the more we give the more God will give us to give more If you are faithful over little, I will make you ruler over. Great things is what Jesus said it when he looks at our finances and when we're faithful and we give, he just got up. He just going to continue giving up more and more and more. As long as we give in the right motive. Remember verse 8, he's able to make all grace abound toward you, that you'll have all sufficiently in all things and have an abundance for every good work. And that brings us to verse 7. I've been talking about giving and tithing for going on 2 months now, I want to look at verse 7. so let each one give

As much as the pastor says, I didn't say that. Don't say that. Let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly. What does that mean? When the plate comes around. You men don't hold your money over that plate, in your wife, have to pry, your fingers off of it, so it'll fall in. Don't give grudgingly. In other words, what he's saying is when you give don't give and then walk out of the church later. So that I give, I hate, I could use that money. Don't give grudgingly don't do that or he says, don't give grudgingly or of necessity that mean. I don't get it because you're trying to keep up with the Joneses, don't get it because so-and-so, I saw a so-and-so, put this money in, I'm going to put, no, don't do that. Don't that's not the way. Don't give book called the pastor stands up here and says give or because he says you ought to tie 10%. Don't do it for that. That's the wrong. I'm not up here. Telling anyone to give no certain amount or anything? I'm just up here telling you what God will bless us out of his word. And when we give, He blesses that I may have, you seen those commercials on TV, where the little puppy, And dogs. Egg looks just so sad and they want someone to go in and rescue them, and things like that. If you ever noticed that people, people people, they will give money for that wife. Because those commercials, they're trying, they're trying to, to get you to give through your emotions, you ever seen the little children and ask her and places, the starving still show just a pencil has pictures, because they want it to tap into your emotions, so that you will emotionally. Give all I got to give that. I can't stand that little child. That little dog needs a home. I've got to give money. That's what they're trying to do. This is what the Bible is. Talking to you right here, the Bible says, no, you don't give out of emotion, don't get because of preachers up there RaeLynn about giving and stewardship and tithing. You don't do that. You go home and you purpose in your heart, that word purpose me to think about and to contemplate, you get with your husband, you get with your wife and you say floor, what is it that you want us to give and you be systematic about it and then you start giving and friends, you will start seeing the Lord bless your life. Don't get it because I said, so. Don't give out of necessity. Don't give grudgingly reluctantly don't do that purpose in your heart, decide what you want to do and then you go and do it. And so, when I think about this, when I think about this law, when these principles, I have to say this, they ought to be excitement and joy. When we give And it was costing the Apostle Paul got Boo Thang and then he just said, thanks be to God for his Indescribable gift. Just thanks be to God. But let me tell you a sobering thought about this Harvest locked. God said that he wanted to reap many sons to Glory. So when are giving we give to missionaries and people go out and share the gospel and people come to Christ. But for God to reap many sons to go or you know, what he had to do, he had to sew his own son. I think about that he had his own son, the father summon the best haven't had the offer in the person of Jesus to this earth and allowed him to die so that we could live and just like that kernel of corn, the death of Christ allows the resurrection of many sons and daughters. He is reaping men and women to Glory, why? Because God has phone, something that was very Close to him, his son. He sunk his son. And because he have done that he has done that we have been reached and Jesus is the perfect example of his Harvest law. Whatsoever. A man soweth that shall he? Also reached friends if God in his wisdom and love believed in the importance of the Harvest enough to send his own son, then we ought to follow that example. We must believe that sowing seed so that we can reap a great harvest. We must be willing to give to God that he might begin to use us in his plan for the ages and that plan is harvesting souls for his kingdom. In free and it will only happen. when we slowed, Remember, you won't reap if you don't. So. You will always reap the same kind that you so. You will always reap more than you sow. And you will always reap later than you. So don't, you want to be a part and prospering spiritually and financially proven your love for God. Providing for those in need provoking Thanksgiving in people and promoting prayer. And when we give, we just purchased more opportunity to give because God is going to continually to give us a men. That's what he does. We have such a good god, let's pray. Father, we thank you, and praise you. Love you today, Lord For Your Precious word. And Lord, we thank you for this section of scripture that shows up your Harvest law. Lord help us to understand it today. that if we're going to be about doing things for the kingdom, then we got to Seoul and let us understand, Lord, whatever it is that we slow. That's what we're going to read. We're going to reap the same time. We're going to read more in Lord. That's an encouragement to us. That we can give a portion back to you knowing that you're going to multiply toward us or that that's entirely different than what the world says. But we believe you. And we trust you because we've experienced it and our lives. Lord. I Thank you for each one that's here today. I ask that you would take this word that has been preached, that you would apply to our hearts. That you would sink it deep down into our souls Lord and we'll be able to see that when we give sacrificially to you, you will bless us and numerous way forcing Christ name, I do pray. Amen.
